Bible study meets Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 PM in the conference room or on Zoom.  We have class from late September through April or May depending on the number of lessons in that year’s study.

This program requires some homework to be done before each class.

There is a modest fee for the textbook that we use.

We have all levels of participates in our studies.  For some, this is their first bible study class.  For others, they have been studying with the parish for several years.  People new to bible study are welcomed.

All our sessions for the forseeable future will be on Zoom.

This year our scripture study group will be studying the Old Testament book 1 Samuel.

The book of Samuel chronicles a pivotal period in the story of salvation history, when the era of the judges was coming to a close and Samuel, the last of the judges and the first prophet, becomes the instrument by which God transitions Israel from a confederation of tribes to a kingdom. The Throne of David is established as a new institution, one that would usher in the long-awaited Messiah, the anticipated Lord and Savior, ensuring he would be known and recognized when he came.
