This is a time of great concern about the financial well being of our parish. The cancellation of public Masses has significantly reduced the flow of gifts from parishioners. At St. Johns we have an EFT program and have a NEW Online Giving program through this website to accept gifts from the faithful. We are extremely grateful that even while our Masses are suspended, we continue to receive these contributions.
The parish has established its own online giving program to make a one-time or recurring donation visit click on Online Giving which accepts electronic checks, debit and credit cards. To contribute this way use page sjtbc.us/donation
You can also email the parish, [email protected], and ask to be added to the parish’s existing EFT program.
There are a good number of our parishioners who do not use EFT. We very much need everyone’s support during these difficult times. Several weeks ago when the finance committee gave its annual report, our outlook was not rosy. It is significantly poorer now without our weekly collection. Drop your envelope off
If you are out, you can drop your envelope with cash or check into the mail slot by the front door of the parish. The box is secure and is checked every day.
To help now, and for as long as it is needed, the Office for Mission Advancement (OMA), Diocese of Oakland has provided a new online donation portal for the use of any and all who may wish to donate to us.
To take advantage of this new facility, you can go directly to the diocesan website, www.oakdiocese.org/parish-support Please ensure that you choose “St. John the Baptist, El Cerrito” in the drop-down parish selection item when you make your contribution.
